Who is this course for?

Those who have already attended the Work at Height for Riggers and Stage Workers course (Code LT50) and who now require additional rescue skills.
This training course is designed to give you the skills necessary to undertake rescues from height of an incapacitated or injured colleague in the entertainment or theatre workplace.

The course is centred around the Lyon Pick Off Rescue Kit. The rescue kit is adaptable and so enables rescues from various locations and scenarios.

For example:

  • Rescue from energy absorbing lanyards
  • Rescue from work-positioning lanyards when either in a standing position against a structure or in suspension
  • Rescue from a mobile fall arrest device when using a vertical flexible anchorage line

We will provide you with a broad understanding of the uses and limitations of the equipment and the working techniques involved. During the course you will be taught to use the rescue equipment in a strictly controlled manner, always under the supervision of your trainer. Once the basics are covered, your training will progress onto realistic scenario-based ‘incidents’ within our purpose built training area.
