Emergency Care For Work At Height
This two day course is for those who work at height or in exposed locations or where access and egress is restricted and require the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
Who is this course for?
This two day course is for those who work at height or in exposed locations or where access and egress is restricted and require the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. The course covers the skills required by emergency first aiders and casualty carers who work alongside or in support of rescuers, rope access technicians and anyone working on high structures or in confined spaces.
The course will be of particular interest to IRATA and wind turbine technicians, construction and telecommunications engineers, tower crane operators and emergency service or voluntary height rescue teams.
Unlike many first aid courses, our Emergency Casualty Care course has a very ‘hands-on’ bias, with most of the practical sessions taking place in our bespoke working at height training area. The course is delivered by our own highly experienced trainers who have years of operational experience in ‘real-life’ emergency services and mountain rescue environments.
The course incorporates the nationally regulated First Aid Awards Level 3 (SQA Lev 6) Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification.
Prerequisites
Due to the nature of the training, prior to attending this course, candidates should ensure that they are medically fit and healthy for working at height.
Persons applying for the Emergency Casualty Care for Work at Height and Rescue course will ideally have some pre-course knowledge of first aid.
Pre course familiarity with harnesses and lanyards plus some knowledge of work at height techniques is also necessary for course participants to gain maximum benefit from this challenging course.
The minimum age of candidates is 18 years.
