In close partnership with the original designer and manufacturer, Hamish MacInnes, we are the authorised manufacturer, service and repair agent for the MACINNES MK6 STRETCHER.
We provide a full service and technical support for the Lyon manufactured MACINNES MK6 STRETCHER, and are able to offer repair work on earlier, original, MK6 model stretchers.
Manufactured from high quality aluminium alloys, MACINNES MK6 STRETCHERS are lightweight and resilient, however the harsh environment in which these stretchers are used can take its toll. It is recommended therefore, that all MK6 stretchers undergo a full service and inspection after no more than 100 active rescues, or 5 years use (or sooner if wear or damage is observed).
All work is carried out in-house, reducing delays and operational downtime. Our workshop and technical team is able to provide factory quality assistance. All work uses new parts, with upgrades carried out on older versions as required.
Every stretcher undergoes a thorough inspection and calibration load test before release from our Head Office; with a ‘Certificate of Service and Inspection’ issued on completion.
A Service Includes:
- Comprehensive strip down of the stretcher
- Media blast of the frame to clean the surface and allow inspection of critical parts
- Replacement of any worn or damaged small components, including any corroded rivets or fastenings
- Replacement of casualty restraint straps which includes an upgrade to the latest AUSTRIALPIN buckle
- Rebuild and frame alignment check
- Calibration load applied to frame
- Final inspection
- Where additional damage is observed, you are provided with an estimate of the work required and expected costs, before any work is carried out. This may include replacement of alloy beds, telescopic handles or skids.
