The Plug Hole
The Plug Hole is a deck through rope guide designed primarily to provide limited, localised
abrasion protection for a textile rope which is rigged to pass through a steel deck at 90° to the deck.
Ideally, rope should always be rigged to avoid all contact with obstacles, where it is not possible to achieve a free hang by other practicable means, the Plug Hole may provide a solution.
The Plug Hole may be used with a single rope conforming to EN 1891, of diameter 9 to 13.5mm.
It is not intended to be used as a rope deviation, to change the direction of a rope or provide protection from hot surfaces.
After use, the Plug Hole may be removed and the Plug used to fill the hole, maintaining the integrity of the deck surface.
