Lyon Brand & Manufacturing
From our well known Ladders and Slings through to Rope and Kit Bags, Lyon Equipment manufactures a huge range of products for work at height and rescue for customers throughout the world. Based at Tebay, Cumbria, Lyon Manufacturing offers stock and custom made products to a vast array of sectors.
Lyon Manufacturing has grown over time in size and scope to a point where we offer a highly professional production service for clients needing Personal Fall Protection, technical and non-technical textile and metal products.
As well as producing high quality individual items we also assemble equipment into bespoke kits that will enable you, with specific training, to undertake work or rescues from height or confined spaces.
Although we don’t offer a commercial “test house” service you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise when viewing the test equipment at our facility in Tebay. Where other manufacturers of similar products might require out sourced batch testing and prototype testing, we do it in-house, bringing speed and cost benefits to our clients.

Our Services
With an in-house design team working alongside a continually developing production department, we provide equipment and expertise to rescue and emergency service organisations, outdoor professionals, explorers and work at height specialists in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries.
We also have a huge amount of experience in solving gear related challenges and can provide ideas and refinements which really help.
Along with manufacturing and design, we also offer personalisation services including; engraving of metal items, helmet stickering and logoed Lyon bags.

In 2007, we became the sole provider of approved servicing and load testing of the Bell range of specialist mountain and technical rescue stretchers.
In 2014, we restarted manufacture of the iconic Bell Tangent Split mountain rescue stretcher for Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW), consolidating our position as experts on this historic brand.

In close partnership with the original designer and manufacturer, Hamish MacInnes, we are the authorised manufacturer, service and repair agent for the MACINNES MK6 STRETCHER.
We provide a full service and technical support for the Lyon manufactured MACINNES MK6 STRETCHER, and are able to offer repair work on earlier, original, MK6 model stretchers.
