Falls from height remain the single biggest cause of workplace deaths and one of the main causes of major injury.
The Work at Height Regulations came into force on 6th April 2005 and were amended in 2007. The Regulations apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury and they continue to have a major impact on many sectors of industry at all levels, from operators to senior management. In particular, the Regulations place requirements on those responsible for working at height or ‘duty holders’.
This classroom-based course is for anyone who has a responsibility for work at height operations. This may include:
-IRATA Level 3 Technicians.
The course discusses how the Regulations affect each candidate’s industry and provides guidance on the application of the Regulations within their sector. Case studies are used to guide candidates through the legislation to enable duty holders to manage work at height within their business.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
