Duration - 2 Days :: Course Cost - £360 plus VAT
This RoSPA approved course is designed to provide essential training so that effective on-site rescue can be undertaken by co-workers.
In so doing, the course will help employers meet the legal requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 which state that work at height must be carefully planned and that such planning must include a rescue plan including actions to be taken in the event of an emergency.
This is particularly important where workers are using fall arrest equipment and could therefore become suspended from their system, should they fall. Simply dialling 999 is not the answer and an on-site rescue capability is frequently required.
The course is for those with experience of working at height who may be required to undertake the rescue of an incapacitated or injured worker who has fallen and is suspended by their fall arrest system.
Training is centred on the use of the Lyon Synergy™ Pick-Off Rescue Kit and Reach-Pole which is used in a range of scenarios to enable the rescuer to recover a casualty in suspension to a place of safety.
This course can be delivered in conjunction with the 1 day work at height course to provide a complete work at height and rescue package.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
