Combined Work at Height and Rescue for Riggers and Stage Workers
Duration - 3 Days :: Course Cost - £540 plus VAT
The syllabus combines the skills and knowledge covered in our Work at Height and Work at Height Rescue courses for Riggers and Stage Workers (Codes LT50 & LT57) into one 3-day course.
The course is designed to give candidates the skills to gain access to and move around structures typically found within this sector and includes the skills necessary to undertake rescues from height of an incapacitated or injured colleague.
The course introduces a range of work at height methods from simple restraint systems to some of the more advanced ‘on rope’ access techniques. Candidates are provided with a broad understanding of the uses and limitations of the equipment and the working techniques involved. Practical exercises involve use of personal fall protection equipment for moving around a structure at low level before moving to more exposed areas to complete simulated work tasks.
The rescue elements of the course are centred around the use of the Lyon Synergy™ Pick Off Rescue Kit.
Various rescue scenarios are covered during the course including rescue from energy absorbing lanyards; rescue from work-positioning lanyards when either in a standing position against a structure or in suspension and rescue from a mobile fall arrest device when using a vertical flexible anchorage line.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
