PPE User Checks for Industry RoSPA Approved
Duration - 1 Day :: Course Cost - £170 plus VAT
This RoSPA approved course is for all users of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for working at height including rope access technicians, tower and mast climbers, roof workers, riggers, tree-workers and members of the emergency services.
This course has been designed to provide candidates with the appropriate background information on legislation and equipment performance and, most importantly, to pass on skills and knowledge necessary to carry out suitable user checks before, during and after use.
Topics are covered using a combination of hands-on user check product training and classroom presentations. At the end of the course, following successful completion of a short assessment, candidates will be able to undertake user checks of their own work at height PPE and to identify damage and/or defects that would necessitate an item being taken out of service and passed to a ‘competent’ person for thorough examination.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
Please note that completion of this course does not lead to a 'competent person' certificate. For this please see our course LT09: PPE Inspection Competent Person for Industry.
