Hazardous Area Response Team Safe Work at Height – Operator / Rescue Operator
Duration - 2 or 3 Days :: Course Cost - £350 plus VAT for course code LT62; £525 plus VAT for course code LT62R
The basic course (LT62) includes the application of work restraint, work positioning and fall arrest techniques plus the use of basic rope access skills. A third day (LT62R) can be added to provide additional rescue skills and an awareness of two-line rescue systems as might be experienced during HART operations involving other rescue agencies such as the Fire and Rescue Service.
The course itself has a very ‘hands-on’ bias, with the practical sessions taking place either in our purpose-built training centre at Tebay or at a number of nearby ‘natural’ venues as appropriate. Many of the practical sessions are scenario-based, providing candidates with multiple opportunities to practise their skills in a variety of situations. Student to instructor ratio will not exceed 4:1.
Personnel applying for this course should have an aptitude for working at height and prior experience of working at height is an advantage but not essential.
Following assessment, successful candidates will be issued with a Lyon Equipment HART Work at Height Operator certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for 3 years.
You may also wish to consider our Rooftop Working course.
